On the plane to Indy |
Mercy River and the AMAZING TOFW presenters. (Mariama, Merilee, Richard, Kris, and Emily) |
After our forced shopping trip! Poor us. |
I was kind of excited to perform on Saturday in sneakers and ratty Old Navy T-Shirts, but our boss lady Laurel wasn't hot on the idea. And so, instead of enjoying Friday night's event, we headed to the mall to frantically find coordinating outfits for the next day. I know, I know. Life's tough when you're with your best friends in a cool city and you HAVE to go shopping. We suffered through the agony of it all.
Aside from all the luggage drama (and btw, all luggage showed up at 6am Sat morning!), Indianapolis was INCREDIBLE! I was boggled by the fact that although I had heard most of the speakers before, it was as if I was hearing them all for the first time. I guess it'f kind of like reading the scriptures--different things jump out at you at different times. (Now LISTEN--if you have ANY chance of attending a TOFW in 2010, DON'T PASS IT UP. The stories and speakers this year are life-changing.)
To the women of Indy: Thank you SO MUCH for your kindness and laughter. Your energy and faith were so soothing to the souls of these three tired mommies. We hope to see you again!!
Love,
I, along with my gal pals, drove from Columbus, Ohio to see you ladies at TOFW in Indianapolis. And what a treat it was! I'd do it all over again!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad those pesky baggage gnomes returned your luggage, but I'd have been just as happy to see you perform in your baggy t-shirts and sneakers!
Enjoy the rest of the 2010 TOFW tour and I hope to see and hear you all next year in Cincinnati!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI just got home from Time Out For Women in Spokane, and I really enjoyed your performances today. I had heard your music before but didn't know who was singing. Your voices are so beautiful and I love the way they blend and harmonize. It's sort of a secret dream of mine to be in a musical group like that and sing with my best friends. Unfortunately I don't have any friends that are awesome singers who also want to sing with me on a regular basis. I would love to see a blog post about how your group came to be and what it's like to work together on music. Do you have a regular work schedule or do you just call each other when it's a good time to practice? Do you write your music together, or is there one person in the group who's good at lyrics?...etc.
Thank you again for sharing your talents with us. You sound like angels!
I drove down from Michigan with some good friends for my first ever TOFW. It was absolutely AMAZING and I totally agree with you about the life-changing messages that were presented. Whenever I'm having a bad day I just think of Mariama or Kris and I remember how good my life really is. I really loved your performances and messages as well and purchased your new CD while I was there. My 22 month old daughter has not let us stop listening to it yet! And it's so cute how she calls you "Bocy Vivva" that we can't resist. Thanks for a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHey...I was one of the Indy timekeeper girls sitting next to you all day! Anyway...if Laurel had just asked us :), we could have totally hooked you up with a cute wardrobe just from the girls in my ward! lol!! You were awesome and I hope to see you in Indy again!!!
